We are happy to say that Duck Baker & Ken Emerson Live at the Freight & Salvage is now available and can be purchased as a CD or digital download at the online store. Duck and Kenny worked together from 2000-04, mostly in Hawaii, where Ken grew up. But they did play a few gigs in California, and they were at their very best for the the show at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley, on November 19, 2004. Ken Emerson is a master of the Hawaiian Steel guitar as well as the ukulele, and uses both as well as a “normal” acoustic guitar with Duck. Their duets combine ragtime, blues, and early jazz influences, and it’s safe to say that the playing on Live at the Freight & Salvage is as hot as anything Baker has ever recorded, in any context.
