We at Fulica are delighted to announce the release of The Oak And The Willow: Steve Hicks Plays The Music Of Duck Baker, by one of the finest British fingerstyle guitarists working today. Hicks and Baker have known each other since the late 1970s, when Steve used to take lessons from Duck, but even in those days Steve was already a very advanced player with his own touch and style. Since then he has made 5 solo records as well as another 3 in duo with singer/guitarist Lynn Goulbourn, and he has toured widely in Britain, western Europe, and North America. Only 1 of the 16 tracks on The Oak And The Willow has been recorded as a solo by Duck Baker, and 13 had never been recorded at all prior to this release. There is also a 50-page TAB/music book with transcriptions of all the tunes.
