Excuse the slow response. As to why there is a Reading Week, I have no idea; most people see all they want of the place it the time a train for someplace nice to Paddington stops in the station. Don't forget I also to private tuition and Skype lessons!

Wow! Having heard you playing some old Scottish laments and Irish airs on an ancient tape I picked up somewhere, I never knew you live here in England! I'm hoping you'll be doing some gigs soon (I live in the South West - not too far from Reading). I might even pluck up courage and ask about one of your teaching weekends..... Hi. I discovered some of your records years ago( when they were records) and loved them and later on got some of your instructional stuff which I also love , and it has helped improve my own guitar playing, many thanks. Hi Duck was looking for tune you taught me at a workshop in Torino in 1982! Gwanga, also known as Little Boy and came across a whole lot of other familiar tunes from then. So yes 30 years later and I still have wonderful and lasting memories of that time. Colin Miller (now living back in South Africa)

I was a student at your Irish/Scottish workshop at Swannanoa. It's taking me a while, but I'm starting to get the hang of "Pretty Girl Milking a Cow," and I'm starting to get more and more appreciation for all the decisions you made in making this arrangement. It's growing on me. It's just haunting. I can see why you said you were proud of this one. I can't get over it. Just want to say thank you. By the way, I looked it up on Wikipedia, and someone seems to have found some lyrics (in Gaelic and English). I can't vouch for the source .. I'll let you deal with that if you wish.
